Speech therapists guide kids over communication hurdles both common and rare, simple or complex. If a child is not meeting communication milestones, is difficult to understand, or seems frustrated by their ability to convey thoughts, speech therapy may be the next step.
-
When speech is unlikely to reach an effective level or will do so at a pace not ideal for a child’s wellbeing, augmentative & alternative communication (AAC) tools can bridge the gap and allow a child to communicate to their full potential.
These tools can range from simple no-tech options to tablet apps or advanced speech generating devices. Some tech is meant to become a permanent part of the child’s communication while other tech is a temporary building block or used only when needed. -
Pediatric physical therapy is often the solution to movement challenges in childhood from delayed walking to the complex challenges requiring assistive equipment or orthotics.
-
Initial evaluations are the starting gate to every therapy journey, whether for speech, PT or AAC. Therapists interact directly with kids and caregivers using standardized assessments and clinical experience to see if (and how) speech or physical therapy can help them reach their goals. Evaluation results can guide therapy provided by our clinic, a school, or other providers.

Feeding therapy can be appropriate for kids of any age, not just newborns learning to breast or bottle feed - though it may be essential then, too. Oral weakness, tongue thrust, and feeding or swallowing disorders may be addressed through Feeding Therapy, provided by specially trained Speech Therapists.
